§ 468. Procurement of personnel

The Coast Guard may expend operating expense funds for recruiting activities, including but not limited to advertising and entertainment, in order to— (1) obtain recruits for the Service and cadet applicants; and (2) gain support of recruiting objectives from those who may assist in the recruiting effort.

1996—Pub. L. 104–324 amended text generally. Prior to amendment, text read as follows: “The Coast Guard may make expenditures as necessary in order to obtain recruits for the service and cadet applicants, including advertising.”
